Behold, children are a heritage from
the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in
the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who
fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with
his enemies in the gate.
Have you ever looked into the eyes of a
child and see the unconditional love that lives deep within them?
We as parents set the example of whom
they become one day and if we criticize them, they will learn to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he
learns to fight
If a child lives with shame, he learns
to feel guilty
If a child lives with tolerance, he
learns to be patient
If a child lives with encouragement, he
learns confidence
If a child lives with praise, he learns
to appreciate
If a child lives with fairness, he
learns justice
If a child lives with security, he
learns faith
If a child lives with approval, he
learns to like himself
If a child lives with acceptance and
friendship; he learns to find love

But as
for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing
from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with
the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through
faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that
the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
